The Bracknell & Ascot WINTER LEAGUE Season Will Be Starting Thurs November 5th 2009
 
The Bracknell & Ascot Pool League is an established league which has been running for over 30 years now.
 The BAPL has progressed over the years and has now proudly established itself as the top pool league in the
County of Berkshire.
 
The BAPL regularly participate in the National Interleague Finals and are currently ranked as one of the top 32 leagues
in England after reaching the last 32 stages in the last two Interleague National Finals.
 
What Does The League Offer You?
The BAPL will welcome all types of pool players from the normal pub player who just wants to play Thursday night
 league pool with his/her team, to the more serious player who wants to push themselves to the very limit and play against
the best pool players in the country.

League Programme
A Full League Programme of Home & Away Winter League fixtures.
 League Tables updated weekly
Singles KO Competition,          Played throughout the season.
 Doubles KO,                            Played throughout the season.
 Team KO,                                Played throughout the season.
 Ladies KO,                               Played throughout the season.
 Captains Cup,                           Played throughout the season.

The Bracknell MONEY LEAGUE–  The most competitive BAPL Competition

 Bracknell OPEN–                              £50.00 a Man Open Tournament
 
BAPL Interleague
The BAPL have two Interleague teams who play in the Berkshire Interleague.
 Each year the BAPL teams battle it out with another 12 Interleague teams from the Berkshire area.
 
Each team play in two separate Interleague competitions each year where the top teams qualify to play in the National
Interleague Finals in Great Yarmouth.

Match Nights & Start Times
League match nights are every Thursday evening.
All matches start at 8.30pm sharp.
 
Teams & Match Formats
Each must have at least 6 players [8 is recommended to see a team out through a season]
Match nights consist of 12 Singles matches.
Teams may change their players and order after the first 6 games.
 
Teams pick up points for the games they win on the night plus home and away bonus points.
Winning captain to text score through.
 
The home team pays for all games
The home team referees all games [The referees decision is final]
The home team are obliged to offer food/snacks to the away team on match nights
 
The Rules
The BAPL is played to the EPA World Rules
 
Division Masters
Each League Division has its own Division Master who a team may contact if they have any problems throughout
the season.

Registration Fees

Team Entry    £40.00 per team. More than one team may enter from each pub/club
Singles           £3.00 per player
Doubles         £5.00 per pair
Team KO      Free Entry
Ladies KO     Free Entry
Captains KO  Free Entry

made payable to the Bracknell & Ascot Pool League.

More League Info -
 
RESULTS, PENALTY POINTS & DIVISION MASTERS
Results from a Thursday game must reach us by Saturday evening at the very latest, this is usually the
job of the winning captain.

Please phone or text your results through to your Division Master and he will pass them on for you.

If your results do not reach us by the Saturday deadline then the winning team will receive five Penalty
Points against them and five points will be deducted from your league total,
you have been warned and this will happen so please get your results in on time.
 

WALKOVERS AND TEAMS FAILING TO SHOW UP

 

 

Note - In the event of a team who fail to show up on more than one occasion throughout the season.

The team will be automatically withdrawn from the league [no refund] and will not be invited back
into the league next season.

The teams captain must give their opposing team at least 24 hours notice if they are unable to fulfil a fixture.

The teams captain must also notify their appropriate Division Master who must be made aware of when
the fixture will take place.
League Rules are as follows - If the opposing team are 10 minutes late then the home team are entitled to
claim the first game.

If the opposing team are 20 minutes late the home team are entitled to claim the first 3 games of the match.

If the away team are late by half an hour or more then the home team are entitled to claim the match 12 - 0

 

 

LAGGING

Lagging before each game will continue as of last season.

New teams who are not sure about this please contact your Division Master who will be happy to explain.
