8 Great Hollands Square, Great Hollands, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 8UX.
Over the past two years The William Twigg has undoubtedly become The place to play your pool in the Bracknell area.
This large Public House now boasts four brand new Supreme Pool Tables which are covered with superb Strachan Cloth.
The tables are set around the pub, one in the main bar area, two in the impressive main pool rooms upstairs and one down in the cellar bar below so there is plenty of space to play your pool.
Landlord & Landlady Mick & Annie Oliphant welcome any respectable pool players to the pub where you will find that their hospitality is second to none.
Hot food and snacks are served all day throughout the TOP GUNS Tournaments.
What Is The TOP GUNS??
The TOP GUNS Pool Tour was started early 2006 and was originally set up for six tours throughout the year, one every two months.
Due to popular demand it was soon changed to nine tours up until December 06.
TOP GUNS has proved to be a very popular pool tournament that is played to the EPAs World Rules and has already attracted players from Slough, Maidenhead, Amersham, Marlow, Reading and London.
The top players are all welcome to TOP GUNS and has already hosted pool pro Eddie Barker who is a regular player on the tour.
Apart from lower league Bracknell players who start their games with a plus 1 the TOP GUNS uses no handicap system so all top pool players are welcome to the tour and all players will be treated as equal.
Pool pros are welcome and they wont have to start 2 or 3 games down before they start playing.
TOP GUNS is a series of Cash & Ranking points tournaments where all cash paid in is paid out again from the quarter finals up to the final.
Throughout the tours of 2006 £3,668.50 was paid out in all and we estimate the final figure for 2007 to be closer to £5000.00.
At the end of each year the player with the most ranking points will be the TOP GUNS champion and will be presented with a top trophy.
Bracknell player Kevin Bassett is the current TOP GUN champion for 2008.
Junior players are welcome to play in the TOP GUNS but they must be made aware that the competition is extremely fierce.
Please note that as from season 2008 junior players under the age of 16 can gain free entry into the TOP GUNS Tours.
Players under the age of 18 may gain entry at half price.
The tours are limited to 32 players so please call to confirm your place, especially if you are travelling from a distance.
