INTERLEAGUEBERKSHIRE QUALIFIERS

The Interleague campaign starts again this Sunday the 25th where all three Bracknell
teams will be involved.

This is the beginning of the League campaign where every team is fighting to become,
not only, the Berkshire Interleague Champions, but are also fighting for a qualifying place
into the Interleague National Finals, which will be held in Great Yarmouth early next year.

On Sunday the Bracknell [a] and Bracknell [b] teams start the day with a derby match
against each other.
The Bracknell [b] team will be well up for this game after coming closest out of all of the
Bracknell teams in the Interleague KO Cup a few months ago.
The [a] team will be well aware that they will have to improve on their Interleague form of
late, to overcome the dangerous challenge from the [b] team.

The Bracknell [c] start with a tough game against Hammersmith [b].

The [c] will no doubt be right up this game and will again be keen to test themselves at
Interleague level.

Bracknell [a] will be finishing one derby match against the Bracknell [b] and then going into
another against Bracknell [c] as both teams go into their second match of the day.

The Bracknell [b] second game will be against Hammersmith [b] in a game they will be
expecting to win.

In the final games of the day we have yet another Bracknell derby, this time the Bracknell [b]
 take on the Bracknell [c]

That should be a nice quiet affair at the end of the day!!!

The Bracknell [a] will finish the day playing the reigning Berkshire Interleague champions,
Hammersmith [a]
A game where the Bracknell [a] will be out to prove to themselves that they will be in the mix
at the end of the Interleague campaign.

All games will be played at Rileys in Reading and will kick off at 12pm.

Any problems at all, please contact your team captains immediately.

INTERLEAGUE NATIONAL FINALS [Gt Yarmouth]

BICESTER & BULLRS HEAD ST AWAIT BRACKNELL [A]

The draw for the group stages of the Interleague National Finals have been made, and Bracknell [a] have
been paired up with Bicester Select [remember the Yetti with the irritating voice??] and Bullrs Head St.

Bicester we know all about as the Bracknell [a] clashed with them a couple of years back.

Bracknell started badly against them last time out and ended up losing the match, and a place in the next
round, so we should be looking for some serious payback this time around.

Bullrs Head St, we know nothing about at all. What we will know though is that they have qualified for the
finals from somewhere, so it will mean that they will be serious contenders.

Bracknell [a] will play Bicester in the first game in the group at 9am on Saturday April 17th.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS [Gt Yarmouth]

The draw for the World Championships has been made.

This is probably the toughest of Singles Competitions, where players gather from all over the country to
compete for the top four places.

Billy Docherty will be first to play as he will be taking on, Carl Caney from Colchester at 5pm on
Thursday 15thApril.

Shane Cuthbert starts at 7pm and plays Robert Wadley of Littlehampton.

Kev Bassett and Dave Bryant start at 8pm.

Kev plays Wayne Parsonage from Kirby and Dave plays Richard Phillips from Willoughby

Mick Worsfold gets an early start on the Friday at 9am against Tony Nevill of Crawley.

Good luck to all of the Bracknell players involved.

EASTER MONDAY MINI POOL COMP  [At The William Twigg]

The William Twigg will be holding a Mini Pool Competition on Easter Monday.

6pm Start - £5 entry

Depending on entries we will hold a Round Robin and Straight KO competition so players will get to
play more than one game.

We will probably be looking for no more than 12 players.

SPIKE CAUGHT KISSING TATEY

It was one of those moments when you think, did I just see that right? Did that just happen?

Then you think, well, maybe it didnt, maybe its late and its been a long night and your eyes were playing
tricks on you.

Then Rob, who is standing next to me says, “Did Spike just kiss Tatey then”?

Then I think, bloody hell, my eyes were not deceiving me, he did just give Tatey a peck on the cheek!!

So we start on Tatey!!

Oi Tatey, we said, did Spike just kiss you then?

No! Tatey says, No he didnt, he says again, flatly denying the outrageous accusation and then looking
away as if to divert attention.

Are you sure?

Yes I f*****g am” Tatey says, looking rather flushed

Spike walks back in and starts walking towards us.

We start to back away, wary that one of us might be his next victim.

I have had a few sherbets he says.

Well thank Christ for that” we said

It turned out that Spike had done some work for Mr Tate and one of them was very pleased with the
outcome.

Nothing dodgy after all then.

But the next time Spike comes stomping towards you, be aware. B A WARE.

LEAGUE
SINGLES, DOUBLES & CAPTAINS KO DRAWS
The draws for the Singles, Doubles & Captains Kos have been made, and as usual it has thrown together
some unavoidable and unwanted clashes at this stage of the competition - Singles & Doubles Cup Draws -

The top game in the Singles KO will be the big clash between Bracknell A team players, Kev Bassett and
Sean Watson.

We also have another Bracknell A game between Steve Ring & Danny Fryer which could be a close call.

There is also a Bracknell B clash between, Steve Herbert and B team captain, Spike [John Harling].

I have heard lots of good things about Shane Cuthbert lately, so his clash with Bracknell A player,
Jack Davies could be an interesting game.

Bracknell C team player Ivor Woodhouse gets a favourable home draw but must overcome Bracknell B
potting machine Dallas Godfrey.

In the Doubles, the old timers who got through the last round, Jefferies/Crozier get a home draw this time
around and might just fancy their chances of progressing against Newington/Findley, it will depend on who
hits form on the night.

Brookman/Fryer also get a home draw this time around against the extremely dangerous pair,
Cuthbert/Kaye whilst Woodhouse/Wogel get a tricky away draw against Bracknell A pair,
Davies/Docherty

In the Captains, Alec Teideman who KO,d the Premiers Jamie Newington in the last round gets another tough draw
albeit at home against Darren Rielly.

Paul Harris gets a tricky away draw against Chaz Casserly, whilst the Bye specialist Billy Docherty finally gets to play a
game, away to the Pippin captain Tommy Brookman.

All games to be played by Saturday 27th February, all the same rules apply.

SINGLES & DOUBLES 2nd ROUND KO DRAWS
The draws for the second round of the Singles, Doubles & Captains Kos have been made and have thrown
together its usual knuckleduster ties.

- Singles & Doubles Cup Draws page -

Top draw in the Singles KO is the all Gypo and Bracknell [a] clash between
Rob Morshead & Kev Bassett where both will be fighting tooth and nail for a place in the last 16.

New Bracknell [c] team player Paul Harris from the Birch will get a chance to test his pool talents against
experienced Bracknell [a] teamer Steve Ring.

We have a potentially explosive tie between Nick Carr & Jack Davies.

Don't blink if you are watching this one as you might miss it.

Rid, the lucky git gets another Bye.

Some people are just born with it.

In the Doubles KO old timers Jefferies/Crozier might just fancy their chances against Worsfold/Johnson.

Doubles veterans Strong/Hughes will prove stiff opposition for the dangerous Fryer/Brookman in a game
that will be a hard one to call.

Another Gypo clash between Bryant/Morshead and Bassett/Morshead could go either way depending
on who hits form on the night.

We also have an all Twigg [a] affair between Davies/Docherty & ex Squirrels pair Watson/Cooney.

It could also be an interesting game down at The Sun as Reilly/Hyatt take on the experienced
Newington/Findley

You may of noticed that there are a couple of Byes in the Singles KO.

This is where either the games in the first round were not played or the winning result wasn't text in to us.

Either way, the players are now out of the competition.

Good luck to all and don't forget to get your winning results in.

This will be the Berkshire Interleague KO Cup.

This is a straight Cup KO competition and which The Bracknell & Ascot [a] team are the current holders
[although we have never actually seen the cup that we won]

I am pleased to announce that the Bracknell & Ascot Pool League will be entering 3 teams for this seasons
Interleague campaign.

The Bracknell & Ascot [a] team has been strengthened by the arrival of some new faces to the squad as well as
Adam Dorey and Danny Fryer who have been promoted from the Bracknell [b] team.

The Bracknell [b] team have been strengthened with some new faces to the Interleague including Derren Stevens,
Mark Wackrill, Matt Andrews and Shane Cuthbert.

The [b] have a big squad of players who are more than capable of achieving something this season.

The new Bracknell [c] team have been made up of players from the Bracknell First Division.

These players have been invited to form a team so it gives them a chance to see what the Interleague is all about.

It will be very interesting to see how these lads get on throughout the season and it will be excellent experience for
them.

More info and team news will be published on these pages nearer the time of  21st Feb.

Please be sure that your games are played by this date and that your winning result is txt/emailed through to us.

INTERLEAGUE
The Bracknell [a] team final stats for the 2009 season have now been updated and can be viewed on the –
Bracknell [a] page -

This also includes the percentage stats table for the 09 season.

The 2010 Interleague squads for the Bracknell [a] & [b] teams will be announced next week on this page.

Division One – Result

It has been brought to my attention that the Division One match between The Sandhurst Club and
The William Twigg which was played 17/12/09, was in fact switched and played at the William Twigg.

The Sandhurst Club won the match 10-2 so they will gain one extra bonus point for the away win.

The same fixture will be reversed when the teams meet again later in the season.

Division One

THE BRITISH LEGION – JOIN THE LEAGUE

Division One teams please note that The British Legion have now joined the league.

This team will become number 3 on the First Division fixture list replacing the departed Great Hollands Club

The teams who have already played or gained points against The Great Hollands Club this season will have
any points deducted
However when you play the British Legion later in the season, the value of the points that you will be playing for
will be worth double.

These teams will be -

The William Twigg [b] – Bridge House [a] – Boot [a] – Sandhurst Club – Prince of Wales
& Sandhurst Sports Club [b]

This will save having to re-arrange the matches.

The British Legion is situated in Bracknell town centre.

By car you will have to come off of one of the exits on the Ring Road in Bracknell town centre.

INTERLEAGUE –Bracknell & Ascot [a] 12 Hammersmith [b] 6
BRACKNELL & ASCOT [A] QUALIFY FOR NATIONAL FINALS
Last Sunday saw the Bracknell & Ascot [a] team breeze into a final qualifying position ensuring automatic
qualification into next years Interleague National Finals in Great Yarmouth.

Bracknell [a] actually went one down to the Hammersmith outfit but then hit back winning 7 of the next 8
frames to take a 7-2 half time lead.

Bracknell knew that they only needed another three frames to ensure qualification and that came when rejuvenated
Gypo, Steve [Spiderman] Ring, sunk his final black to ensure the Bracknell [a] team grabbed the runners up
spot in the Berkshire Interleague table.

Although the Bracknell [a] team players are not exactly overwhelmed with finishing second in the table, we do
however take our hats off to the Hammersmith [a] team who finished up winning the title.

So well done to them [grunt]

BRACKNELL & ASCOT [B] MISS OUT ON FINALS

Although the Bracknell & Ascot [b] team made a gallant end of season surge and won their last two games
against The Berkshire Ladies and Hayes, it turned out not to be enough to grab a qualifying spot in the Berkshire
Interleague table.

At the end of the day the [b] team paid dearly for losses against Hammersmith[b] and Marlow in games that they
would maybe have expected to have done better.

On the plus side, well done to Adam Dorey [Woodcutters] Dallas Godfrey [Pippin]

& Tommy Brookman [Pippin] who all finished on above 50% in the end of season [b] team stats.

2010 BRACKNELL INTERLEAGUE SQUADS

The new Bracknell & Ascot [a] & [b] team squads are now being put together and will be named at the start of
the new year.

A lot of players have been looked at and a lot of players have impressed throughout the 09 season.

All new players will be notified before they are named in any of the squads.

As the Bracknell & Ascot Pool League continues to grow I certainly feel that both the Bracknell [a] & [b] teams
can benefit from some of the talent that is coming through the ranks.
I feel it would be unfair to name names at the moment, but I have quite a long list of players who I am hoping to
give the opportunity to represent their league at a higher level.

Keep an eye on the Latest News page for more details which will follow throughout the Christmas and New
Year period

Points Error
Please note that in Division One, The Sandhurst Club have had one point added to their league total points.
This is because it was printed as a home win to them against the Rugby Club [b] a couple of weeks ago when
infact they did win away from home at the Rugby Club [b]

Thanks to the Sandhurst Club who reminded me of this [twice]
I got there in the end.

TABLES & RESULTS
The latest League Tables are now available to view on the– Tables & Results Page -

SINGLES / DOUBLES & CAPTAINS CUP DRAWS

The Singles & Doubles draws have been made and can now be viewed on the –

Singles & Doubles Cup Draws page -

You can also find the Captains Cup draws on the same page

The draws have thrown together some of the usual hum-dingers with the top draws in the Singles comp probably
being the two Bracknell [a] team players Lucky Birdy v Billy Docherty.

Another Bracknell [a] clash is Stuart Harris v Sean Watson which should be an extremely interesting game.

Other top matches in the Singles include – Dallas Godfrey v Brett Cooney &
Danny [Deepfat] Fryer v Luke [Young Gun] Johnson

In The Doubles the top match is probably the all Twigg [a] clash between
Watson/Cooney & Spike/Matt Mcgoo

We also have the all Pippin clash between Fryer/Brookman & Godfrey/Gates which could be a close call.

TEAM LEAGUE KO CUP

The Preliminary Round for the Team KO has also been made and this can be found on the -

League Cup Draws page -

This is where the big boys from the Premier League can suddenly find themselves walking on thin ice as the
teams from the lower division get their chance to grab some glory.

The draw has thrown together some nasty draws for the Premier outfits as the William Twigg [a] have to travel
to the Sandhurst Sports Club [a] who have just taken over the top spot in Division One.

The Green Man Old Boys also face a possible cup exit as they must entertain The Sandhurst Club who have
also got off to a cracking start in Division One.

both play at home at the same time.

FIXTURES
Please note that we are well aware that some of the new fixtures clash for some pubs with two teams
with one table. We are also aware that some teams have a long run of home or away fixtures.

This is because of the fixture program that is used and this happens at the start of every season.

Note that this weeks [tonights] fixtures will stand and not change.

This is so we can get the Winter season under way on time.

The fixture list though will be looked at, and will be changed by next week.

Good luck to all the teams involved for the new season.

SEASON PREVIEW

Twigg Gypos will be out to retain their the Premier title they have held for the last three seasons although
they will be expecting a tough challenge from the likes of the the old enemy, Squirrels [a] who just missed
out last time around.

Squirrels [a] took the runners up spot and a place in the EPAs Champions of Champions next year.

William Twigg [a] will present a serious challenge if they can field their strongest side and find some
consistency throughout the season.

We then have the teams who will always be there or there abouts and might just fancy a pop at the Premier
crown this year.
Machine Gun poolists Newtown Pippin will be looking to finish teams off as quickly as possible in the only
way they know how as will The Rugby Club [a] who play in a similar fashion and might just fancy their
chances.

Bridge House [b] enter the season as the Dark Horses after their heroics in the Bracknell Summer League.

They have put together a very good squad and could very well be in the mix for honours at the end of the
season.

Newly promoted Woodcutters who ran away with the Division One title last year will be looking to impress
as they start their season against the team who were also promoted, Boot [b].
Squirrels [b] get a tough start v the Gypos as do Prince of Wales X who travel to the Pippin on the
first night.

Molly Millars have a team who are capable of doing much better than last season as do The Sun and
The Old Boys.

Division One

Huge changes here with lots of new teams, which should make for an extremely interesting season ahead.

Its almost impossible to pick a team who could be considered as title favourites but if I have to go for anyone
then it would have to be The William Twigg [b] who dropped out of the Premier last season.

The New Teams - Three Brewers – Great Hollands Club – Sandhurst Club – Rugby Club [b] –
Bridge House [a] – Cannie Man – Silver Birch and The Sandhurst Sports Club will all be coming out with all
guns blazing as they look to get off to a good start to the season.

The Admiral Cunningham get a very tricky start as they have to travel to the impressive Sandhurst Club
who I know will be well up for the season ahead.

The Rugby Club [b] must entertain the Cannie Man in what could be an interesting game with the Cannie
back in the league after several years absence.

The Silver Birch who are also back in the league after a bit of a break will be raring to go as they travel to
the Boot [a] who just missed out on promotion last term.

Two more new teams will battle it out in the last fixture as Bracknell's Bridge House [a] entertain
The Sandhurst Sports Club.

Rack em up and let the action begin.

SUMMER LEAGUE FINAL – Bridge House 3 Twigg Gypos 7

GYPOS HOLD ON TO SUMMER TITLE
The Twigg Gypos continued their domination of the Bracknell Summer league as they managed to
overcome a gallant challenge from the ever improving Bridge House team.

The Bridge who had already achieved trophy winning status this summer by winning the Scotch Teams
event gave as good as they got against the experienced Gypos team.
They were unlucky in the first game of the night when Paul Hawkins just missed out on a dish to put them
one up and then Keith Tilbury also had a chance in the second game of the night.

The Bridge found themselves 2-0 down when they could of easily been 2-0 up.

The Gypos Kev Bassett made it 3-0 and then the in form Rob Morshead dished the table from the break to
put the Gypos 4-0 ahead.
The Bridge had another chance to pull one back in the fifth game but the chance went begging as the Gypos
took a commanding 5-0 lead.

The Bridge did manage to get one back in the next game as Mark Wackrill held his nerve to make the score
5-1 at half time.

Bridge House came out fighting in the second half as Paul Hawkins made amends to make it 5-2 and then
Matt Andrews potted the final black of his game to pull his team right back into it and make it 5-3.

A tactical affair saw Mark Wackrill lose out to Dave Bryant as the Gypos responded to the Bridges fight
back.

Kev Bassett then dished the table to win the match for the Gypos and give them their umpteenth Summer
League title.

The Bridge House should be commended for the effort they have put into their team and their game over
the past year or so, and I will be expecting them to be putting in a challenge for the Winter League Premier
crown when it gets under way next week.

Well done the Bridge House – The Bracknell Interleague captains are watching you!!

these games as a walkover.

FRIENDLY - 20/9/09 - At The William Twigg

BRACKNELL TO STRONG FOR BLACKWATER

The long awaited friendly match with the Blackwater League took place last Sunday evening.

Both teams fielded 14 players each where we played and eventual 42 games.

Bracknell & Ascot ran out emphatic winners in the end on a fun night where all players seemed to enjoy the
occasion.

I would like to thank the Blackwater team for getting their squad together and for giving Bracknell the opportunity
to play them.

A return match will now be set up for sometime next month but this time Blackwater will provide the home venue.

20/9/09

BRACKNELL & ASCOT v BLACKWATER
Today will see a unique friendly match between The Bracknell & Ascot Pool League and The Blackwater Pool
League.

The match is due to start at 6pm tonight at the William Twigg.

If you have been selected then please try to be at the Twigg by 5.30pm so that we can start on time.

If you have not been selected for this match then please note that The BAPL do have a lot of players to choose
from so obviously not everyone will get in the 20 man squad for this match.

However we are planning on a return fixture at Blackwater in the near future.

When the date for this fixture has been set then another 20 man squad will be selected where no doubt some new
players will be introduced to the Bracknell set up.

NATIONAL AMATEUR POOL CHAMPIONSHIPS – Draw
The First Round Draw for the National Amateur Pool Championships has been made and two of the Bracknell lads
have been pulled out of the hat.

England Youth player Jack Davies will get us under way at 5pm as he takes on Dave Driver from Bognor Regis.

Jack reached the last 32 stage the last time he played in this comp so he will be looking to better that this time round.

At 6.30pm it will be the turn of Leigh Morshead who has been drawn against Paul Taylor.

It turns out that Paul Taylor plays for one of the Hammersmith teams in the Berkshire Interleague so this could be an
interesting game in which I would expect Leigh to win and progress through to the second round.

The rest of the Bracknell players, Dave Bryant, Mick Worsfold, Kev Bassett, Lucky Birdy & Adam Dorey get a
bye into the second round which will commence on Friday 2nd Oct at 9am

The full draw can be found on the EPA website.

Look out for match 51 – if you have got a surname of King, then surely you dont call your son Wayne?
I can only assume that this chaps parents had one hell of a sense of humour.

INTERLEAGUE FINALS
BRIGHTON & BARNET AWAIT BRACKNELL IN FINALS

The first round group stages for the Interleague National Finals have been made by the EPA.

The Bracknell & Ascot [a] team have been drawn in with a couple of teams who they have yet to play against in
the Finals.

Barnet could be a tough one as they reached the last 16 in this years Interleague Finals earlier in the year.

They look reasonably strong and could be a tough nut to crack

The other team are Brighton M who are a bit of an unknown to us but will command the same respect that Bracknell
give all teams at the finals.

The Bracknell & Ascot [a] team will take on the Barnet team in the first game in the group at 9am on Saturday
3rd October.

The Welsh Open Pool Championships 2009

THE BRACKNELL & ASCOT END OF YEAR TOUR 2009

The Welsh Open will be a combination of a -

9 man team competition [similar to Yarmouth]

Welsh Open Singles

Welsh Open Doubles

Welsh Under 18s Singles

Various Flyers

Speed Pool

10 Ball Crash

The tournament will be run from Wednesday 25th November – Sunday 29th November.

Accommodation fees cost £89.00 per person, which includes -

5 nights accommodation [£18.00 a day]

All the Welsh Open Pool Events.

This is excellent value for money when you consider you have your match fees included as well.

The tournament will be held at the Showdome, at Trecco Bay Holiday Park in Porthcawl, Wales

If you are interested in this event then I will need to have this sorted out by around mid October.

This will be an independent, Bracknell Pool League On Tour, event and will have nothing to do with the
Interleague or EPA.

No EPA registration or cards will be needed.

Blackball Rules will apply.

SUMMER LEAGUE

Scotch Teams
BRIDGE HOUSE GIVE THE BOOT THE BOOT
The Bridge House will contest the Summer Leagues Scotch Teams Final against The Sun towards the end of the
season after a close group stage final against The Boot.

The Bridge did storm into a 3-0 lead at the Twigg last Thursday only for the Boot to claw the match back and
draw level at 3-3.

The Bridge managed to compose themselves in the final frame to take the match 4-3 and set up a, toe to toe with
The Sun to see who comes away with the Scotch Teams title.

The Final will be played on Thursday 8th October at the William Twigg, 8pm start.

Race to 5 games wins the title.

It makes a nice change to see two different teams in a Bracknell final.

3 Man Speed Pool

ROYAL OAK BOYS ON SPEED AS THEY TAKE TITLE

The first, 3 Man Speed Pool competition took place at The Twigg last Thursday night and what a roaring success it
turned out to be.

Six teams took part on a roller-coaster night of quick fire pool.

You have never seen the table cleared so fast as the 3 Man teams competed against each other all evening.

Thrills Spills, misses and miscues were all thrown in as the teams had to race to win 3 games to win their match.

The Twigg X team of Herbert, Johnson and Dorey went close towards the end but just fell away at the last.

By the time all the teams had played it was so close that it went down to a 3 team play-off.

Gypo team Bryant, R Morshead and Fryer were first to fall in the play-off which left the second Gypo team of Bassett,
Worsfold & L Morshead to fight it out with The Royal Oak team of Ball.Kay & Taylor.

It was the Royal Oak team who cleared the table quickest in the final game of the evening to come away as the
Bracknell Speed Pool Champions.

Well done to Speed Kings – Rubin Ball, Stuart Kay & Lloyd Taylor of the Royal Oak.

Also thank you to the rest of the teams who were involved who made it a very successful evening.

This event will no doubt be held again sometime in the future as well as a Singles Speed Pool event to see who is
Bracknells quickest pool player.

SUMMER LEAGUE

3 MAN SPEED POOL At The Twigg This Thursday 10th Sept
A new one off, 3 Man Speed Pool Competition, will take place this Thursday at the William Twigg – 8pm start -

All you will need to bring along will be a 3 man team and your cues.

How it will work

Two tables are used with one 3 man team on one table and the other 3 man team on the other.

Both teams break the pack at the same time.

Both teams then play alternate shots clearing the balls in any order as fast as possible.

The Black ball must be potted last.

Matches will be played best of 5 games and the teams will be drawn from the hat at the start of the
evening.

This should be a straight KO depending on how many entries we have on the night.

An individual Speed Pool comp will take place on the night if there is time.

No entry fee on the night, just come along and have some fun.

It will be fast – It will be furious – It will be fun.

THE SUN BREEZE INTO SCOTCH FINAL
In the the first group stage of the Scotch Teams Final, The Sun shone through and burned the fingers
of the gallant Squirrels [b] team.
The Windlesham set up came away with an emphatic 6-1 victory and await either the Boot or
The Bridge House in the Scotch Teams Final at the end of the Summer League Season.

Strange how some of the so called big teams in the league have proved to be absolute rubbish at this.

Well done to the so called smaller teams I say.

BERKSHIRE INTERLEAGUE

because the Maidenhead team couldnt raise a team on the day.

This game is to be re-scheduled to be played at a later date.

The Interleague match between Bracknell [b] and Maidenhead [b] which was cancelled due to
the Maidenhead team not being able to raise a team on the day – Sunday 26th July -

is to be re-scheduled to be played at a later date.

INTERLEAGUE- League Match 6 –-- Marlow  11  Bracknell & Ascot [b]  7

CHANCES MISSED AS BRACKNELL [b] COLLAPSE

A slightly weakened Bracknell [b] team travelled over to Marlow at the weekend to play their first away league
fixture of the season.

Bracknell were missing their captain, Spike as well as the likes of Chris Tate, Justin Stokes and Charlie Caladiao.

The Royal Oaks Nick Carr was added to the squad to play in what was an important game for the Bracknell [b]
outfit who where up against the current league leaders.

Bracknell stuttered at the start of the game as Marlow flew into a 3-0 lead.

Steve Moody pulled a game back for the Bracknell before the hurricane Dallas Godfrey blew his opponent away
with a 2 minute dish.

Nick Carr got a debut win under his belt as he won his game and Matt Gouriet pulled things back for the Bracknell
as he won the last game of the first session to keep the scores close at 5-4 to Marlow.

Bracknell continued their good work as Moody won his second game of the day and Danny Fryer and Tommy
Brookman both won theirs in the second session.

This pulled the score back to 7-7.

Missed opportunities cost the Bracknell side big time towards the end of the match as Marlow took advantage.

Dallas was unlucky against a very fortunate Josh Bustop who smashed his final black around the table only for it to
drop into the middle pocket at a crucial stage of the match.

The Bustop will not be forgiven for this and will be a marked man from this day on.

Bracknell [b] now need to pick things up in their next game at the end of this month in what will be a vital encounter
away to Hammersmith [b].
